FCC's Social Sciences Committee has begun work on a Twenty-First Century Revision of Alfred Marshall's Principles of Economics. This classic work was the standard economics textbook for decades, and because of its high quality, continuing relevance, especially to microeconomics, and public domain status, its revival is the Committee's initial task.

Once this task is complete, subsequent tasks being considered include:

• A Twenty-First Century Revision of Alfred Marshall's Industry and Trade
• A new work consisting of case studies in privatisation in the developing world
• A new work on Public Choice economics as applied to the workings of the civil service in developing countries
• An English language translation of the works of eighteenth century Finnish economist Anders Chydenius
