FCC People

Board of Advisors

FCC's Board of Advisors is an elite group of educational leaders who advise and support the organization. Members include:

  • Piotr Blass, PhD
    Dr. Blass holds a PhD from the University of Michigan and a Master's degree from Harvard, both in Mathematics. He is a former editor of the Ulam Quarterly Journal.
  • Bhaskar Dasgupta, PhD
    Dr. Dasgupta works in the city of London in various capacities in the financial sector. He has worked and travelled widely around the world. He has a BSc in Mathematics, an MBA in Finance and IT, a PhD in Financial Modelling and is working on his second PhD in International Relations and Terrorism. He also writes the weekly column entitled With a Grain of Salt.
  • Jeffrey Deutsch, PhD
    Dr. Deutsch is the founder of the Rabid Tiger Project. He holds a Master's and a PhD in Economics from George Mason University and a BA in Government from Cornell. He also serves as FCC's Program Director for Political Science.
  • Risto Harisalo, PhD
    Dr. Harisalo is a professor of Public Administrion at the University of Tampere, Finland.
  • William Lee, PhD
    Dr. Lee holds a Master's in Linguistics from West Virginia University and a PhD in English from Boston College. He now teaches Statistics.
  • Anthony Piņa, EdD
    Dr. Piņa is Coordinator of Learning Technologies at Northeastern Illinois University. He holds an EdD in Leadership and Technology from La Sierra University and a Master's in Educational Psychology from Brigham Young University.

Fellows

Mahmood S. Qasmi is John P. Sorrentino Fellow at the Free Curricula Center, where he contributes material on Statistics. He holds a Master's in Engineering from Canada's McMaster University and an American MBA.

Staff

Charles W. Evans is Executive Director of the Free Curricula Center. His most recent position was as Associate Dean of Business for the online campus of Keiser College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Stephen H. Foerster is Director of Instructional Technology for the Free Curricula Center. He has over a decade of experience with education, management, technology, and politics, and has been a Graduate Student Fellow at the Canadian Institute for Distance Education Research and a Sam M. Walton Free Enterprise Fellow.
